Yesterday I went to my college graduation ceremony. It's weird. I don't feel like I graduated and now that I don't really have to study for finals, write papers, do hw assignments I'm not sure what to do with myself lol. Well, I'll still be studying Japanese, Chinese and Korean because you never really stop learning a language. I'm planning on taking the JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) in December so I need to study for that and read a lot of things in Japanese, learn new vocab, grammar, kanji, etc.

"So what are you doing after graduation?" You easily get sick of hearing this lolol especially if you're unsure. For now, I plan to apply to the Interac program (it's like JET) to become an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT) in Japan and teach English. Hopefully i get accepted and I can work in Osaka!! (or anywhere in Kansai area really XD) Most of my friends that are going to Japan or Taiwan will be starting this summer/fall but I'm applying to start in the spring so I can meanwhile go back to my parents' house, find a part time job and save money for moving to Japan. I get a little nervous thinking about it, doing adult stuff and whatnot OTL

For now, until the end of July I'll be staying in the city of my university and working part-time at one the university's libraries (and hopefully find another part time job). I still have many places I want to explore in this city before I go back to my small and boring hometown (with limited internet ;u;)

Now I have more time to do stuff I want to do like practice guitar and piano/keyboard, improve my languages, and of course, do art stuff. I want to start doing commissions but I still don't feel ready (whoever does though haha) since I didn't draw much this past year I want to do some more drawings and improve on some things before I start doing commission work.

Finally, in other news, I will be going to Dallas' A-Kon the first week of June! If any of y'all are attending, I hope we run into each other! I will be cosplaying (for the very first time; this is only my 3rd con) female genderbend versions of Gintoki Sakata and Toshirou Hijikata from Gintama! XD

The Demon Vice-Commander
How does one do nice fire XD I decided to do a different painting approach when drawing Hijikata in contrast to my previous Gintoki work. Now that I actually have time to draw I hope I can work on improving my painting style.

Enjoy!

Gintoki by Whitewolfgirl
Gintoki
Hello!
I finally finished college!!! Now I just have to go to my graduation ceremony next week :D But no more long term papers, assignments, tests to study for, etc! Now I have time to do things I want to do (drawing, playing guitar, learning more Japanese, etc)

It's been a little hard for me to get back into the swing of doing digital art. At times my tablet feels really foreign to me or I feel very unsatisfied with my work that I don't finish. I didn't really get to do a end of the year progress meme because I rarely drew anything. There's a lot of stuff I want to do this summer now that I'm done and I hope to make drawing fan art and more original character stuff one of them.

Drew Gintoki as a celebration for the Gintama anime returning. An attempt at a painting style.

Enjoy!

Naruto 15th Year Thanks by Whitewolfgirl
Naruto 15th Year Thanks
Finally finished! My first artwork for the new year. I started 2 months ago after I finished the manga...and then exams/projects took over my life.

It has been an amazing adventure~Naruto wasn't the first anime I watched but it was the first one I watched in Japanese (and the only one my parents recognize by name lol). It also led me to many different interests: art, learning Japanese, Japanese music, etc.

Thank you Kishimoto-sensei for the ride!
