Saw a bunch of people do this so I thought, why not? lol Not ded. Just haven't made time to draw recently (been practicing guitar and reading a lot lol too many hobbies)
How long have you been on DeviantArt?
8 years...wow...I feel old...
What does your username mean?
My favorite anima is a white wolf and I'm a girl so...
Describe yourself in three words.
- Artsy (not that I'm necessarily good but I like doing creative things like playing instruments, drawing-of course, writing, etc)
Are you left or right handed?
Right-handed though I feel I should train to become ambidextrous
What was your first deviation?
This was based off an inside joke some people and I made back during the high and mighty days of MSN chat...I don't remember what it was about though...
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Ah, hard question. Although I don't like to refer to it as a style most people would call it anime style. Anime and manga are what got me into drawing so I always enjoy(attempt) trying to do fanart of characters or my OCs as anime characters. However, I've also grown interested in semi-realistic, realistic art. This is mainly because I hate doing line art haha and I prefer painting.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Realism. I feel that other styles would be easier to do afterwards because they would be less complex and detailed XD.
What was your first favourite?
(goes back to the beginning of time of Favorites) "Pen Tool Tutorial: Part Two" By PoliteYetPeculiar (I think they had a different username back then...)
I was barely starting to use Photoshop and I didn't have a tablet at the time so I was trying to figure out how to make decent line art (that never improved lol) and I found this tutorial.
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
I don't think I have a specific type of art. I go through phases/cycles of liking certain types of art over others but I enjoy looking at various kinds as well.
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Omg I can't answer that, there's so many I like whose artwork I enjoy looking at.
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Similar answer to previous question. I would like to meet most I have watched over time (which is a lot). However, so many of them live either in California, Canada, or Europe and I don't have the money to go to the cons they go to. (Stuck in Texas lol)
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
It's been so encouraging being able to communicate with them (mainly through their livestream chats) and hear their advice and just hearing about their daily lives. They're ordinary people (we all are) who have put so much time and hard work into what they do. So many funny and sweet people from all around the world who create amazing, beautiful, stunning art. Many times I had to stop and think about why I started drawing and where I want to go with it (not necessarily as a career but just a general direction) or sometimes I just HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DRAW. Then I take a few minutes (or hours) looking at fellow deviants art and feel so inspired, so motivated to DRAW SOMETHING. It doesn't have to be perfect or beautiful but just some creative outlet for me to try and express myself (same with with music related stuff but I digress)
What are your preferred tools to create art?
So many favorites recently lol. For digital I have a Wacom Tablet. I used to draw with Paint Tool Sai until I got a Macbook (I hope the Sai creators make a Sai program compatible with Macbooks soon XD). Now I'm back to Photoshop and I also got Clip Studio Paint which I haven't had time to play around with as much. There's not too many tutorials for it yet (similar how to Sai used to be) so I guess I should stop being lazy and figure stuff out myself.
For Traditional: I really love dry media, particularly Copic markers and Prismacolor coloring pencils. Of course, for just basic tools pencil and paper though mech pencils are a godsend (we weren't allowed to use them for tests in MS, HS so I just used #2. Once I entered college and had to write a lot of Kanji for my Japanese and Chinese classes and .05 mech pencils quickly became my favorite. Didn't touch a wooden pencil much for classes until I took an art class and worked with different lead thicknesses for shading. ) I love collecting different pens and hope that one day after much practice I can do decent sketches that I like.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
I don't have a particular place but I always feel like drawing when I should be doing something else. AKA right now it's 3 AM and I should be sleeping but now I feel like drawing...or when I was in school I always felt like drawing when I should have been studying, especially when I had to write and turn in a paper LOL
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
I don't have a specific single memory but just in general when people take the time to make a comment on my work. Whether it's a proper critique or word of encouragement I enjoy reading the (few lol) comments that I get.
...actually I have a better memory. Whenever groups ask to add my work to their group collection stuff which I admit surprises me (low confidence in my art :') ).
Okay, I have no excuses now not to draw. Until I find a job (the real world is scary ;' ] ) I have so much free time to do the things I like to do. So far I've been looking at anatomy books and trying to improve whole body anatomy and hands, which somehow have become less of a pain to draw.
